I already own a Cableguys plugin. Can I get a discount on ShaperBox Bundle or the full Cableguys Bundle?
In most cases, yes. Just log in to your Cableguys account to see your discount automatically applied to the ShaperBox Bundle and Cableguys Bundle prices.
Are updates to Cableguys plugins free of charge?
For full version upgrades (from 1.x to 2.0, for example), we usually charge an upgrade price, which will always be cheaper than buying the latest version without already owning the previous one.
Minor 'point release' updates will usually be free of charge (from version 1.0 to 1.1 or 1.5, etc, for example) – in fact, we’ve never charged for them in the past and are not planning to do so in the future. If we add a new Shaper to ShaperBox, however, it may not be free and will stay in demo mode until you buy it. The update to ShaperBox itself and any Shapers that you own will usually be free of charge.
I purchased the ShaperBox Bundle some time ago. Why do I need to pay for Shapers that were released after my purchase?
The ShaperBox Bundle is a way to buy all available Shapers at a discounted price. Shapers are still individual products, though, so there is an upgrade fee to add any missing or new Shapers to your collection. Please log in to see your upgrade price.
That said, we often offer grace periods. For example, if you purchased the ShaperBox Bundle 4–6 weeks before the release of NoiseShaper, ReverbShaper, or PitchShaper, we added the respective Shaper to your account for free.
I own one or more Shapers that run in ShaperBox. Should I purchase other Shapers individually or upgrade to the current ShaperBox Bundle?
Purchasing Shapers individually can be the better choice if the ShaperBox upgrade price is high and you only want to add one specific Shaper to your collection.
In most cases, upgrading to the full ShaperBox Bundle is the best option. You get all missing Shapers at a discounted upgrade price, and in some cases — for example, if you’re only missing one or two Shapers — this upgrade can even be cheaper than buying a single Shaper on its own.
I just bought a plugin or Bundle from you, but have not received the email telling me how to download and unlock it. How do I get my software?
Usually, the email containing the login details for your Cableguys account (where you access your installers and license files) is sent immediately after your purchase. In some cases, though, it can take a few hours for your purchase to be processed. Also, please check your spam folder. If you've not received your account details within 24 hours, please contact us.
Do you provide educational discounts?
Yes, on request we often provide educational discounts. Simply send us proof of your educational status – a scanned certificate of enrollment, for example.
What are your Terms of Service, and what is your refund policy?
Our Terms of Services are defaulting to German laws.
Our refund policy defaults to German law, but on request we sometimes allow longer terms.
